Investment Sale
I am organising an investment sale to help finance needed Machinery
My studio colleague Ruud Dubel, with whom I interned in 2012, is gradually preparing for retirement. Much of the machinery we use is his—most notably the Felder sliding table saw, the centrepiece of our workshop, but also a small Harvey saw, a bandsaw, and a milling machine.
We’ve been given the opportunity to acquire the Felder saw for a favourable price of €12,500, and to raise the funds I’m organising an investment sale.
For sale are, among other things: the pearwood table featured in the film Table #6 a two-part beechwood pedestal with spalting; and a beautifully joined oak pedestal. I’m also offering a small edition of the Pars Pro Totem (more below). If you have specific wishes—such as a custom table, or a bed built with traditional joinery, without glue or screws - this is a good time to contact me.
During the Plantage Dok open day on 7 September, when the building’s studios open their doors to the public, you’re welcome to drop by our shared workshop the Joinery to view the available works and discuss the projects. Feel free to pass this on to anyone looking for a carefully made object or piece of furniture.
